ESCIF logoThe European Spinal Cord Injury Federation (ESCIF) wants to improve the quality of life of people in all parts of Europe who are living with a SCI. The federation was the first to formalise links between SCI consumers across national borders. National organisations from and for people living with a SCI from 24 countries in Europe are member of ESCIF. ESCIF has taken the initiative in 2010 to establish the Global SCI Consumer Network.

Iscos logo The International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS), the worldwide organisation for SCI clinicians and researchers – has already demonstrated its support by scheduling consumer-led sessions at all future annual meetings, starting in 2012. 

livability logo Livability Ireland (LI) mission is to increase the quality and coverage of essential healthcare, rehabilitation and community inclusion services for people with disabilities in the developing world and to advocate for positive change and facilitate practical action in relation to the rights of people with disabilities as enshrined in the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities. LI have worked across Asia since 1995 with a focus on the development of appropriate and sustainable SCI services, and networks. LI through their experience are conscious of the important role that consumers have to play in directing SCI service developments and effecting positive policy change. LI are actively involved in supporting the development of national spinal injury associations, the ASCoN consumer network and the Global SCI Consumer Network.
